The movie is BS! I'm Gores age and grew up in Tn. near Gore's family. He was a stupid buffoon as a kid and if not for his daddy he would be a redneck hillbilly today. He's so full of it his eyes are brown!
You kids need to retake high school science! Or maybe learn to think!
Here's todays high school science lesson.

We have had ice ages in the past, in between were the global warming periods. This is a natural process of the Earth. It's been doing this for 4 billion years. If anyone thinks we puny stupid humans have one whit of ability to change a natural process of the planet then your just stupid. I can't help that.
We are going through a pole shift right now. That's when the magnetic poles swap polarity. During pole shifts, the magnetosphere is weaker and more of the suns energy hits the Earth. This causes the Earth absorb more heat.
A global warming period combinded with the pole shift means alot more global warming than at the times when there is no pole shift. The extra heating may cause the methane frozen under the ocean to thraw and that will make the greenhouse effect go ballistic.
Does everyone understand that we puny stupid humans can not cut the suns rays, nor can we change a natural warming cycle of the Earth, and therefore we can do almost nothing but wait for this cycle to pass.
This cycle will be followed by a cooling period and an ice age and there is nothing we as humans can to stop this. We are not God!

I think it should be called 'A Convenient Lie the beginning of a run for the Presidency by Al Gore OR How I Scared My way on to the Democratic Nomination'. The movie is fuul of half truths and straight out lies. One Glaring example is tthe Aral Sea Gore says it's drying up due to global warming but the truth is the Soviet Union diverted the rivers that once fed this sea, so it has shrunk by 75 percent but global warming had nothing what so ever to do with it. I know you will probably deny this fact because AL Gore told you differently but I just thought you might appreciate hearing some truth on the subject. Global wareming theorist have a political agenda and thatis to take away you way of life and turn America into a Socialist country equal with other third world countries so they can asume power. It's all politically motivated.

Al Gore's political commercial on his Global Warming pseudo-science?

You mean, people PAID to go see a political commercial, they voluntarily signed themselves up for the Party?

I will cite passages from an essay by Mark Alexander, which I think that anyone who has an interest or has seen this movie, should read as a counter-point:

"Commenting on the misuse of science to support political agendas, Harvard's Dr. Malcolm Ross concludes of such folly, "Freeze or fry, the problem is always industrial capitalism, and the solution is always international socialism."

Dr. Roy Spencer, former Senior Scientist for Climate Studies at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, has issued "Questions for Al Gore" based on what he calls "Gore's Inconvenient Truth."

"NASA scientist James Hansen, director of the agency's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, argues, "The natural fluctuations of climate are still large -- at least, the natural fluctuations of weather compared to long-term climate change." (Hansen, it should be noted, is a liberal who publicly endorsed the 2004 presidential campaign of John Kerry.)"

"Neil Frank, former director of the National Hurricane Center, is a bit less nuanced about Gore's claims: "[Global warming] is a hoax.""

"This week, the National Academy of Sciences delivered a 155-page report on global temperatures to Congress. The report estimates that the average global-surface temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere rose almost one degree during the 20th century, noting the increase "is unprecedented for at least the last 400 years." Notably, the report claims that "human activities are responsible for much of the recent warming."

"Though rudimentary methods for measuring temperature were first used only 150 years ago, the academy scientists based their conclusions on "proxy" evidence -- tree rings, ice cores, cave deposits, boreholes and such.

The study also noted, without explanation, that there was a global heat wave around the 10th century, and a "Little Ice Age" from about 1500 to 1850."

So, major, credible scientist are disagreeing with the claims that there is any "SCIENTIFIC PROOF" that there is even global warming and the Al Gore's of the world with their political agendas and "blockbuster" movies and the News Media post stories to the contrary every single day and completely ignore the scientist and say "all the scientist of the world are in agreement" and you people eat it up like the sheep you are.

My reaction to Al Gore: The same as it has always been. The man is such a two-faced liar he makes me puke.

Finally! A real movie that doesn't sugar coat the truth about an ugly fact of nature. We are losing the Northern Ice sheet. FACT. Just look at comparasion for the last 30 years, its absolutely indisputable. So they will have the Northwest Passage everyone's wanted for the last 300 years. FACT. Their already starting to argue over who gets rights over it. How sad is that? We're losing our 2nd largest source of fresh water, and all they can do is fight over who gets the rites of passage.

There is no such movie--for all the illiterates, it's spelled 'Inconvenient', as in 'An Inconvenient Truth'. And the movie is superb! Of course there will be detractors who are much smarter than all the scientists--THEY will tell you there is no such thing! Do yourself and your kids, grandkids, and everyone a HUGE FAVOR, and go see it!! If your mind is open at all, you'll wake up to the truth very quickly!! We MUST see it to change our lives--or we won't have lives left to change!!
