Check through local newspapers, or run an ad saying you might be willing to take an unwanted reptile. You will be suprised at the
respones you will get.

You can get one in your local lake or pond or somewhere, but you can never know. These may have serious diseases like salmonellosis. You should get pets only through breeders. Also, do some research before getting a pet. PETCO is also a really great store. However, if you do choose to catch a pet from the wild, get it checked out within 48 hours by a vet. Good luck, and petco.com also has tons of great advice.

most times all you would pay is for shipping, that can run up to $50.00 for UPS over night.

a lot of these reptiles might have something wrong with them so they might not be for breeding but would still make good pets.
