I am a huge Meg Cabot fan and I happen to know where you can find out what books she's reading, and what she likes. You can check:

Sarah Dessen is my favorite YA author...particularly with realistic fiction.
I can't think of too many authors that are exactly like her right offhand especially since I don't know what it is about those books you love so much--is it the characterization...the plots...the subject matter...But you might like Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta. It is a great YA book.
If it is the "can't-put-this-book-down-it's-so-good" feeling you love about Dessen, then you might enjoy Stephenie Meyer's book Twilight. It has the same addictive quality as Dessen, but with some fantasy (vampires) thrown in.
You should also explore this website it helps you choose what book to read next.

Meg Cabot writes three types of books - YA contemporary fiction, like the All American or Princess Diaries series, Adult contemporary fiction, like The Boy Next Door. The third is more mystical/fantasy, ie the Mediator series.
If you like her YA contemporary fiction, you might like the Adult fictions she writes. It is pretty accessable and not too 'adult'. You may also like the Shopaholic series. Another series you may like is by Louis Rennison (Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging, et al). They are British.
There are lots of lists on Amazon, and you can look up Meg Cabot (or the other author, who I have not read) and see what they refer you to on the "if you like this, you might like..".

Wuthering Heights is a practise guide. you'll delight in it. it truly is a astounding tale and it is going to start up you on the line to being a better stepped ahead reader. you could also delight in James Patterson's maximum journey sequence or The Earth, My Butt and different enormous round issues, it truly is an truly fantastic modern youngster e book which has received dozens of awards for excellence in youthful adult fiction. both books have web pages with samples on them.
