I'm a guy tring to figure this out. By the way i dont even own a swimsuit calender.

Because they're ashamed on how they look, so they put down those peoples 2 make themselves feel better.

That's not only fat women, skinny women and men as well have this issue. Most women and possibly men are ashamed of how women exploit there body's because your body is a temple and you should treasure that temple. It could also be that they dislike/ hate/ are ashamed/ or have a low-esteem of their body shape, skin color, body part and the way they look all together. And since they have issues with there bodies they secretly envy these models on this calender and cover it up by saying that swimsuit calenders are wrong. It could also be that they just don't like looking at half-naked women/men.

This question may be a misnomer as it generalizes and does not specify what a "fat chick" is. There are calenders whose models are all of a weight range considered plus sizes by many and are sold in great numbers successfully to women and men. Many women...of the slim variety and the plus sizes feel that exhibiting women on calenders clad in swimwear is demeaning to women.

The media determines what people should look like. I think what "fat chicks" are trying to say is that it is wrong to portray an image that is not realistic. Seriously, when have you ever seen a "normal" girl that looks like the ones in your swimsuit calendar? So us women think that because we don't look like these models that there is something wrong with us, and that men will not like us because we do not look like these models. It makes us feel inferior. If the media used "normal" sized women for their ads, then we wouldn't care. I am not fat and I think that the media should use models that are proportioned properly to encourage young girls to be healthy - not starving!

Why is it that men are disgusted by other men in thongs. Same logic it's objectionable whether you're fat or not. It's a form of pandering women are more than their breasts,hips,and thighs. You wouldn't know from these calenders. What kind of world do we live in when a useless human being like Paris Hilton is a celebrity.

Do you speak for all fat girls? Are you a fat woman? You must be or certainly you couldn't speak for all of the fat women on the planet. Lose some weight and maybe you'll feel better about yourself. Good luck!

not all "fat chics" as u so delicately put it, think swimsuit calendars r wrong, maybe they wish they could look that good but is wrong of u to generalise on a group of ppl u know nothing about....grow up ffs...larger ppl have hearts too u know and they r generally nicer ppl than u will ever meet...

they secretly buy all the calenders up out of the stores so no one else can buy them, then they lay them out on their beds and sleep on them.
