Sorry, the psychology of it wont allow him to keep his word, of course that's if he ever agrees. I mean ask yourself would you do it? Furthermore, it depends what kind of help are you asking for, if its for the kids [if applicable] i see no reason why you should not ask him to put in writing.

You can't. Make him you "ex-" as soon as possible. Until you lose that "soon-to-be-" you are just a wife who choses not to live with her legal spouse.
Get an attorney, see a judge. Do it smart. Do it fast.

Get it legally done by having him sign a piece of paper with all your requests on it, with the presence of your lawyer present.

If it is not in writing , you are doomed! It will be your word against his in court and the only thing a court will understand is paper.

Make sure you secure a written agreement!!!!! Have it notarized. A hand shake is quickly forgotten.
