What is the corect way to add college to your resume?

I am getting ready to graduate college and Im not surer how to add it to my resume any suggestions?

Any schooling, whether it's on the job, college, etc. goes with the education section.

If you are within a year or less of graduating, you can put down your expected graduation date. For example:

XYZ School B.S. Marketing December 2006

An employer reading this on July 10, 2006 would know that you haven't graduated yet, but will be shortly.

If you list the dates as 2003 to 2006, which some suggest, then the employer thinks you're still in school, but it doesn't indicate that you'll be graduating. All it really says is that you're being trained.

This is why I tend to suggest putting the expected graduation date, so the employer knows that you'll soon be done with your schooling.

Resume writing isn't an exact science, there's plenty of opinion, which is why there's no one correct way to do it. But my way definitely tells the employer that you're nearly done, which will definitely separate you out from those further away and still in school.

2002-2004 Penn State University, University Park PA

Put it in the education section! Are you sure that you're really graduating?

pu tit under the education section. state you degree you'll be earning and what field, expected grad date, followed by school name and city, state location.
