check the fuel pump and check to make sure the neddle valve in the carb is not stuck shut

Pull the fuel line off the carb, put it in a can or bottle to catch gas. crank the engine over for 5 seconds. See if there is gas in the can. If so, it has a stuck float or bad filter. If not, bad pump.

remove fuel line before the fuel filter, but line into a bottle and crack engine to see if you have fuel, if so you need to check to see if the pressure is high enough to push it past the needle valve in the carb and also check filter to make sure its not plugged. if there is no fuel check the fuel lines for a possible hole in the line, as this will cause it to suck air. also you need to check fuel pump pressure if no holes found.
