To just handle text, a Z22 is enough. It runs Palm OS apps and can store quite a bit on it. $99
If you need a full-blown mobile companion and want to add PDF reading, try the Tungsten E1 ($130 used or at palm outlet) or E2 with Bluetooth added in. $200
If you need a bigger screen and WiFi on top of that, try the TX $300
if you are going to put over 1GB of information on something, get the LifeDrive. It adds voice memo and a ton of space to the TX. $400

If u are running mac go for palm models.choose according to your requirements.If u are using windows ,HP are out with some excellent pda.make sure the operating system is windows 5.0 and min.400 Mhz processor.
