Something is heating up causing your killing...

Most f-250s came with dual tanks , so just switching tanks should check to see if you have a fuel pump problem (as the pumps are independant to the tanks).. If only one of the tanks do it.. then I'd say fuel pump..

But probably TFI module/distributor giving up the ghost....

Run codes and let us all know.. the codes will sometimes give hints...
The zone can't run a old truck like that but there are many websites telling you how to pull codes off the internet.. Just search for "Retreving EEC IV codes" .... searching for the codes you got will give you an idea of where to go...

It can be many things but my vote is diagnose it first... pull EEC IV codes and go from there...

It could be electrical or fuel related. Their is a sensor that tells the
vehicle that fuel is low and in order not to have to re-prime the fuel injection system the system shuts down. or If the fuel pump is going bad it will do the same thing. Now if the whole vehicle goes dead no radio no windows no nothing then comes back ..I'm not sure what to tell you! Sorry!!

If you are NOT getting a check engine lite then i would look at the injectors if you have to let it sit for 20 or 30 min. befor it will start it is either the fuel pump or the injectors. But i would say injectors are braking down when they get hot! If this happens it will turn the rest of them off so it wont start until it cools down.

whenputting a question like that i would kneed to know the year of truck.... now if it is fuel injected chances are that the fuel pump is heating up an slowes pressure to fuel rail... to check this as soon as it stops again find the fuel release valve.. it is on the fuel rail an looks like a tire valve with a plastic cap on the tire valve, take that cover off an push the center valve down u should have a lot of pressure if not then it will be the fuel pump...... good luck....

not knowing what year it is its hard too guess at an elec. prob from the late 70`s to the early 90`s there is a box on the fender that hooks to the distributor the box can be bad or the pick in the dist.is going out. i hope this helps you out

being a ninety 2 it ought to have gasoline injection ! to analyze the pump take the line free from the gasoline clear out and both crank the engine or turn the foremost on, if the pump is contained in the tank ! it ought to also be spark too ! examine for spark on the plugs ! if there is no spark or a weak spark it should be the coil or module !
