Money is power. Power to make your will manifest. If you will is benevolent and sane, of course, money is going to make you happier. However, if there is something wrong with you, money can destroy you.
Remember Anna Nicole Smith and the hideous TV show of hers? That is a prime example of what I am talking about. Obviously, something is very wrong with Smith. And the large amount of money that dropped in her lap, really magnified the consequences of this for her.
Money is like fire. It is a basic tool and a powerful one. It runs everything, makes everything happen. Keeps you warm in the winter and cooks your food. It also burns down your freaking house if you are foolish with it.

Surprising, experts say "not really". They worry less about some things, but they aren't necessarily much happier. One statistic that may surprise you is that wealthy people are far more likely to have affairs. Being poor cuts down on your options for cheating and keeps you at home with your support system. The poor are far more faithful as partners.

I read a statistic that said more money can only make you happier if you earn less than $50,000 a year. More than that, it doesn't affect your happiness....for some people, too much money creates problems of how to deal with that money.
PS. The only time I think that money CAN buy you happiness is when I hug my English Bulldog. WHO says you can't buy love?? :)

Wealthy people are no different emotionally from people who are not rich, they just have more money. They also may have more responsibilities which can give them more problems. Just trying to decide how to allocate & protect one's wealth can be a huge task. Raising kids who aren't spoiled is also a problem for the rich.
Happiness belongs to those who are grateful for & can make the most of what they have.

Some people are wealthier because they are better in touch with their souls.
Some people just have more money.

No, money doesn't fix everything. Look at Mel Gibson, hes rich and he wanted to commit suicide that one time. When your rich you have to be more cautious. When there rich you got to be careful, because they might be crimals out that want to ambush you and take your money. I live with a family thats not rich and we are happy with our lives. We have shelter, a kitchen, a bed to sleep on, and a tv. I think the correct definition for ''being succesful'' is that you are happy about your life.

well it all depends on how you want to put it , because if some one is wealthy and being around family and friends they love and not caring of how much you spend that would be a happy person but if your wealthy and just thinking of yourself and want people to do what you want just because, that would be a very lonesome person and remember money isn't always everything if there is not GOD, in your life and family, friends you love being wealthy is like having nothing.

one has nothing to do with the other. Most people chase this dream of wealth so thet they can achieve happieness but once they get there $$, they find that the forgot what it was they were looking for in the first place.
I was looking for wealth not long ago, but then everything in my world crashed in on me, now before i can chase my finacial dreams, I must first get back in touch with myself and my happieness

No, my parents are wealthy and miserable. I was raised wealthy and am MUCH happier living only a moderately decadent lifestyle in middle class urban heaven.

As Bono's bug-goggles, I would have to say, yes and no. He is happy to live in his ocean-side mansions, and eat is $100 lobsters etc.
But no, he suffers from white-guilt syndrome in which his wealth makes him feel sorry for others. No, not the poor in Ireland, the poor in other countries.
