It depends on the people. I won't spend money to get a video system but I love video games, my boyfriend would rather be on ebay shopping.

When I was 21 I bought a Sega Genesis, by the time I retired my worn out system I had 24 games. If I could afford to buy some games for my PC I would. Aeveyond, Feeding Frenzy 2, pirate games,

Sorry to say, they never do ever outgrow them with so many new games systems and new games coming out , it is so much to keep up with and keep their interest (as most men tend to get bored quickly)!!

In most cases, they'd even give up their social life for the video game world. That's why these certain type of men are more likely to be obese and/or single!!!

Us women have to either accept it , get interested in video games too and play along with him, or find a man that is not into video games more than he is into you. Relationships stuggle and it does become a problem after a while!!!

Men tend to be problem solvers, where women tend to be nurturers. Video Games give men a chance to solve issues that appear detrimental to either there survival or the survival of humankind. The video game industry has tried for years to et more women into the market place with little success until recently. With games in which nurturing is the goal (the Sims, NeoPets, ect.) we find women as the primary players. As far as growing out of Video Games; you may find them growing out of a certain game or certain genre, but the desire to "fix" things is what makes them men. Compromise is the only likely path. Show him your nurturing qualities to pull him away with cuddles or give him something "VERY IMPORTANT" to resolve.

I'm not into video games, but am into other types of games, mostly crossword and trivia games. But it's just the thrill of winning, and stretching your mind, or physical dexterity. It can be a lot of fun.
Why videos are so addictive, to some guys, I don't know, but for some they are. Anyway for the most part it's harmless. Although some are very violent.

Not all men like video games. I never play them. When I'm on the Internet I obtain news updates from some of the better liberal blogs. I rarely read Conservative blogs. Their premises are more often than not incorrect and they habitually resort to ad hominim attacks. I do however enjoy iq tests. That is my online weakness. Have a nice day and please disabuse yourself of the notion that all men like video games.

Video games allow them to have a release in areas that they normally wouldn't.

It allows them to find out what if they would be in that kind of situation and how they would react too.

Nothing wrong with this, the challenge soon goes away once they have answered these questions in their own minds first.

It's just another form of entertainment. I don't think you can say that video games are just for kids, if that was the case they wouldn't make games with an 18+ rating would they?

I still like playing but dont have time anymore

It is a good release from life for a bit to run around mindlessly shooting guys in a game. Plus it works out your hand eye coordination.
