She's 18, she's of legal age to read what she wants. You can let it go and let the mag disappear quietly into the trash, or you can return it to her and tell her you found it after it fell out of her car without demanding any type of explanation, Whatever you feel more comfortable with. But as I said, she's a legal adult now and there's no law against adults possessing or reading adult-oriented material (or just looking at the pictures).

you could probably just put it back. It may be hers, in which case she is not legal to purchase it, it could be a friends, or if she has turned 18 recently, it could have been a joke gift from a friend (I know when i turned 18, i got the, "hey you can buy lotto tickets and porn"). If it is really bothering you, then try confronting her about it, but only you and her, so that she doesn't get too embarrassed.

just put it back in the car. i know its probably awkward for you but at least thats all it is. it could be something serious. or if you feel like you need to run her life then throw it away but giving your kids freedom to make choices and feel the consequences on there own helps them gain responsibility. but you can still just keep a close eye on things and gently ask about it. maybe a little later on.

Its hers so give it back. If she found something in your room she would leave it because she had no buisness in there and it is yours
and she may be your daughter but she is also an 18 year old woman

WOW! I suggest that you sit down with her and have a seriouse chat. Admit that you were not spying because that will just anger her. It was just one of those things that you happened to over hear. Talk to her Tell her how you feel. If she wants to go through with it. It might be time to move out and that's that. My dad wouldv'e already thrown me out and disowned me!

You never know. It might belong to one of her friends. Either way the best thing to do is to hand it back to her and say If this is yours be careful with it, cause it fell out of your car. But if it's not I think I'll borrow it. And she will be so relieved that your not mad, and surprised that you would ask to borrow it that It might cause some open conversation.

In my opinion I would want my mother to talk to me. I'm only 21, but the relationship with my mother is more of a friendship. so it depends on your personal relationship with your daughter.
