I was really disappointed... As a true football fan, I can see how the Italian style of game (purely super defensive) is killing the sport. When will we see another Pele or another exciting attacking football team win the cup??? Yes, with this victory from a less than deserving team that played a lousy second half and overtime, we can expect the death of beautiful football and the birth of tactical, boring, pathetic defensive football. If the Italians keep playing like this instead of the attacking game they displayed in 1990, I truly hope they will NEVER AGAIN win the cup. Brazil better play like BRAZIL in the next World Cup, because their un-Brazilian like game was also a major disappointment. The only real nice note after this pathetic world cup is the renewed German team; from a defensive, boring game they have become an exciting awesome team. And let us not forget Ghana... I hope an African team wins next time...They seem do be the only ones who want to actually PLAY FOOTBALL. To Hell with the stupid azzurris.

I think Italians should really enjoy their 4th championship instead of trying to justify Materazzi. Let's admit he has a bad record in the Italian league, he's no angel, and not even one of our best players, at that. He did his job decently at the World Cup, but let's not foget that he was replacing Nesta, who was injured! Now, Nesta is a true champion, not him!

I also think the French should just accept that they lost instead of trying to justify Zidane and trash the opponents. Zidane went out at the very end of the game, you can't be sooooo sure you'd have won if he had stayed! Be proud of your Zizou: he didn't end his career in the most graceful way, but he will always be a legend. And be proud of your 2nd place, 2nd best in the world doesn't suck at all!

Y-baby Brazil we are going to win in 2010 or 2014 or maybe both. Then, we will be 2-3 World Cup wins ahead of you dirty Italian players.

Isn't it awesome...I'm not sure where your located but I live in a small community and after the game we all organized a huge parade of cars, vespe, trucks, jeeps and paraded around our city with the italian national flag and our national flag, it was the best. Everyone seemed so proud of their heritage (1st/2nd/3rd generations). There were seniors to little kids out. I don't think that this was only for the soccer-lover but everyone of italian background.

Part of being a champion is to act like a champion.
It would not be too soon for you to start.
