There are 3 pharmacy programs in the state of Florida:

The pharmacy program at Nova Southeastern University is considered one of the top programs in the southeastern U.S.. Nova is located in Davie, a western suburb of Fort Lauderdale.

Another top-notch Florida-based pharmacy school is located at the University of Florida in Gainesville. In fact, US News & World Report ranked UF's program as the 7th best program in the United States this year.

The third such program is at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee.

All three programs have limited enrollment and selective admissions - you'll find more information about the criteria for admission at each of the sites that I've linked below.

I presume you realize that pharmacy is a graduate degree program - and admission is granted to those who have completed an undergraduate degree.

Many schools offer a bachelor's degree program called "pre-pharmacy" - heavy on science courses like biology and chemistry, with some research and statistics thrown in for good measure. It's not necessary to major in pre-pharm, but that's a good way to get the background requirements that the pharmacy schools are looking for under your belt.

Good luck! If you want to read more about the pharmacy profession, I highly recommend the last link I've included below, provided by the US Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook. This article will tell you all about the prospects for future employment, average salaries, working conditions, necessary skills for job seekers, etc.
