Does the professor just speak the whole time and expect you to understand everything? How fluent are people in 3rd year Spanish supposed to be? I tested into the class but I don't think I am prepared.

You won't have trouble as long as you should be in the 3rd year class. For example, when I was a freshman, I took the Spanish placement test, which did not test listening or speaking. I could read and write at the 4th year level, but I could not speak it or understand it well at all... and I should not have been in the class. As long as you are on par with the 3rd level, you will do fine!
