I really can't see the point in learning it..who are you going to speak to that you can't already speak to in English? Why not learn a working language so you can speak to more people. It's just a way of spending money and jumping on the Scottish culture bandwaggon. They tried to teach the people on the Shetlands Gaelic and they had to be told that actually their original language was Norwegian. The Italians dont need Latin and the English dont need Anglo-Saxon....

Useful for excluding 95% of scottish people . A dying language that should be more of a hobby than anything.

I'm Scottish (Stirling) and really don't see the point in it. Keeps some people in a job, so if it's not seriously bothering anyone let them carry on if it makes them happy.

I suppose it gives Runrig something to sing.....
it's good to keep the language alive, but why dedicate HOURS of TV time to it...subjecting the whole of northern Scotland to gibberish & nonsense.
