I seriously doubt that any name players will play in the US in their prime because of the current salary structure. David Beckham has stated publicly that he would like to play for MLS before he retires. He would most likely play for Los Angeles since he already has a football (soccer) academy in LA and it's large market. He could never play for the US National team because 1, he is not a US citizen, 2, has no family ties to the US, 3, if he did somehow play for the US, the Brits would probably never let him set foot in the UK again after he did.

ahhhhhhhhh NOoooo never , you get no recognition and no money these guys make roughly 5-18 million a year in their leagues why would they come here . The talent here sucks and they would just dominate. Thats just outrageous to even think that if anything MLS players are dying to play over seas. Like mcbride of the usa team plays for chelsea in the UK for big bucks why would he play in the mls . no no player will come.

The MLS is to the soccer world what the Arena League is to the NFL.
