Is one brand better than another? What feathers would work best?

Why in tarnation would you ask a question like that? Are you trying to feather your nest? If you run out of tar and feathers(you could try tar and nicotine) there is always the option of running the person out of town on a rail. That could cause a wedgy. Tar and feathering always seemed like a arduous and messy way to punish someone. First you have to heat and boil the tar(who wants to mess their Revereware just to do that?), and then you have to have a sack full of feathers handy. Why ruin a perfectly good pillow? Why go to all this trouble? Is hanging too good for them?

First you need a chicken......
Pluck the feathers carefully, only chicken feathers will do as they are the most abundant and cheapest.
You can probably find them on your local roadway by a few of the crates having fallen off the truck while swerving the freshly tarred road.
There you can also avail yourself of fresh tar. Talk nice to the road guy....he will probably let you have a gallon or two.
If the roadguy gives you a toothless grin, run and cover your.......lol.
But hey, it's free tar, watcha expect.

Tarring and feathering is a SEVERE punishment!
Besides the raw humiliation factor associated with this treatment, there's the practical issues surrounding the tar.
Tar must be heated to be liquid. It needs to be at least 140F to flow; at that temperature, thirty seconds' exposure causes first-degree burns. Usually, this mark is overshot, causing instant first and second degree burns.
Next, the victim needs the stuff to cool down prior removal. This takes a long time.
Finally, removal of the tar will always remove hair, and often removes skin as well, causing PERMANENT SCARS AND DISFIGUREMENT!
Think VERY STRONGLY before doing this. You are opening yourself up to a can of legal whoop-***.

HONEY
HOT CARAMEL
HOT FUDGE
GET THE CHEAP PILLOWS FROM THE DOLLAR STORE
OR GO GET A CHCIKEN

use the cheap stuff,,,and use the feathers from a pillow,,,whom ever you are mad at isn't worth the$$$$$$
