Tell them Now!!!! If their your best friend they'll be crushed to know that you even thought about leaving this large detail until the last minute.. tell them now and they'll have time to deal with the fact that your moving, but understand that just because your moving, does not mean that you two can't still talk and see one another every once and a while... Pick up the phone and tell them, it's better to be open and honest than be lying to them and possibly yourself.. Moving isn't the end of the world, learn to face your fear...

tell your best friend now so that she has some time to let it soak in before you go, other wise she will think that you realy did not want to tell her, being that it is so close to you leaving. my best friend well ex anyways, was not even going to tell me, i happened to go to her house and her parents were helping her get the last of her stuff before she moved out of state saying she was going to call me.. i was so hurt by that we were so close. so we realy never talked again, and i am ok with that, cause i am the type of person that believes that if you are friends with someone like we were you dont do that to your friends, so it was her loss not mine.

Well it's kinda hard so maybe you should tell her now and you guys can trade e-mails and write to each other and stuff and maybe you guys can have some fun before you finally move.

I understand your thinking behind waiting, but respect her. Im sure she would like to know that you are moving. Plus if someone else tells her first then she'll be really hurt and that wouldnt be a good note to leave on.

If this is truly your best friend, why wouldn't you talk to him/her about it? It's only going to be more hurtful if you prolong it.

now. it will give you enough time to realize whats going to happen and not freak out that you don't have enough time to enjoy each others company.
