i have been trying to get pregnant for months now. i had my perios last month on the 19th now this month on the 9th. the thing is is that this"period" is nothing but very little blood(nothing compared to the gushing i have always experienced) and there is no cramping and all the things that i am used to while on my period. My Grandma said she was pregnant for 5 months with my mom and wasn't sure if she was or not the only reason she was worried was because her period's were not normal. if my flow does not pick up of it just stops should i go to the doctor and get a blood test done? it is possible i could be pregnant?

it is possible to get pregnant and have your period. I have heard lots of stories about that happening but you are starting to count your chickens before they hatch.. i can hear it in you voice( well i guess the words you type) that you are putting hope full ideas in your head, it always took me one look at a penis and i was pregnant, but even though it is possible please dont go getting your self excited because it could be just an irregular period but only the real tests know for sure...i really hope you the best of luck and keep trying it will happen !!! go get the tests

Since it has only been 20 days between your last period and this bleeding that started on the 9th, it's possible that you didn't ovulate and that's why you're bleeding lightly and not cramping. Not ovulating during a cycle happens to most women once every now and then, and it's nothing to worry about.

But on the other hand, it could be that you are pregnant. It is possible to have bleeding, or spotting, while you are pregnant, for various reasons, or for no discernible reason at all.

But if you are bleeding while you are pregnant, you need to be under the care of a doctor. The reason for this is because there are complications that can cause bleeding during pregnancy, and sometimes these complications can be serious.

If I were in your shoes, I would take a home pregnancy test. They are very reliable, and if you are pregnant you will get a positive result. In this case, you should call a doctor as soon as possible, explaining that your test was positive and that you are having some bleeding and you want to see the doctor.

If the test is negative, that means that you are almost certainly not pregnant. You can take another test in a week to be doubly sure, and if it's negative then I would assume that you had what is called an "anovulatory cycle," that is, a menstrual cycle where your body didn't produce an egg. In this case, I would carefully watch to make sure you do ovulate in the next two or three weeks, and you should have a normal period, with cramps and everything you're used to, in four or five weeks. If you don't, then you can go to a gynecologist for help.

If you don't ovulate (produce an egg) then you can't possibly get pregnant, and the doctor can help your body start ovulating again if it needs help. But most women don't need any help, and chances are good that your body will start ovulating again, naturally.

When I first got pregnant, I had some spotting. I didn't know that I was pregnant, and I thought the spotting was just my period getting started. Then it would quit for a day or two, then start again. It was really annoying. Turns out, after I had a pap test at my first pre-natal visit, the bleeding could have been the result of the fertilized egg implanting in the lining of my uterus. Take a pregnancy test. If it's negative, see a doctor. If it's positive, CONGRATULATIONS, and see a doctor. :)

Now a days HPT's are as reliable as a blood test and they may cost less than your blood test, if you are bleeding and pregnant that may be something yo should be concerned about. My grandma was 7 months pregnant and she was still having her period, that is why she didn't know she was pregnant!! it does happen, however thanks to technology we can find out earlier now so take a pregnancy test and forget about any other worries, and like I said, if you are pregnant you might need to see your doctor right away, because my doctor told me that no matter how much blood is coming out of your vagina when pregnant it is NOT normal. Good luck.

I know somebody who had her period the whole time she was pregnant, though it's not normal it is not unusual either to be pregnant and have your period at the same time. Yeah, I believe you should see a doctor just in case you are indeed pregnant, so you can take every precaution to have a healthy baby...the first trimester is very crucial...Good Luck!!!

it is possible to be pregnant and have your period at the same time. I would suggest that you get checked by the doctor like everyone suggests.I too have been tryin for months to get pregnant. My husband is 11 years older (also the baby of the family) then me and I'm afraid that by the time I want to get pregnant, my husband might feel to old to play with the kids. I just found out recently that my mother n law is diagnose with cancer and might not be here to see our kids. It puts more pressure and stress for me cause I want to get pregnant but its so hard for me. I just recently ordered Ovulex..hopefully it will work for me..If your not pregnant..I'm sorry to hear about that..and you want to get pregnant..i would suggest that you look into Ovulex..I wish you luck!

GO TO THE DOCTOR... I can not express this enough. If you are not pregnant there are so many other things that can be going on. I kept putting off seeing the doctor for my irregular periods. Somedays heavy some days not at all, Very Irregular. I ended up with ovarian cancer. Please go for regular check ups.

Sounds like you have an abnormal cycle. Go to a fertility specialist. Only a doctor can advise you on what to do.

Ask him about clomid and see if you can take that. It's a fertility pill; however there are side effects that can be long term...like multiple births.

Good Luck.

You can be pregnant. Don't panic or get over excited. I would wait another month and see. Then take a pregnancy test if it is the same. Good luck and congrats if you are.
