If you are looking for sites to see in Seattle you will have no trouble finding them. The Space Needle (although expensive, it's worth it to go up there for a first time visitor) the waterfront, Pikes Place Market, the Museum of Flight, and others. Hotels can be pretty pricey downtown. If you want to stay at one of these hotels there are plenty that reflect the style of the city, such as the Alexis Hotel. Hotels in areas outside of Seattle such as Bellevue (although some of these hotels can be pricey too) Kirkland, Issaquah, and Mercer Island are usually a little less expensive, but more of the "chain" hotels such as Travelodge, La Quinta, Holiday Inn, etc.
