My brother & I bought 2 new bikes for a summer vacation. His new 1200 Bandit leaked gas and filled the motor with gas and ruin it. We asked Suzuki of America to replace the motor so could go on vacation. They said that's to expensive, it costs $3000. They messed around all summer and 4 months later had the rebuilt at a cost of $3700. The bandit ran like crap and looked worse. The gas stained cases and burnt exhaust pipes were not replaced, and the bike got scratched and nicked all over from being apart for so long. We even called Japan but got no help. No one in Suzuki gave a damn. We sold the bikes because summer was gone and thier warranty was worth less. We loss $5000 and got no vacation just a huge hassle with suzuki. We even wrote to the CEO and did not even get a letter back from him. Every one be warned Suzuki's warranty is not worth the paper it's printed on!!! If you get a lemon your Fd! And they don't give a F!!!!!

I bought my first brand new Suzuki motorcycle in 1969, and have been riding them ever since. I have two Suzuki motorcycles in my garage right now. I have never had a warranty problem with any of the ones I have owned, and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good, strong, reliable motorcycle.

No manufacturer intentionally makes defective motorcycles, and every manufacturer will honor the warranty they provide with a new bike if you do your part and work with them. If they didn't they wouldn't stay in business.

From your story, it appears that Suzuki of America agreed to rebuild your motorcycle's engine, but Suzuki of America did not perform the labor... Your dealer's service department did. Suzuki of America didn't leave the bike all scratched, stained and running poorly... Guess who did?

It sounds like you got really lousy service from your dealer's maintenance shop. Your warranty is only as good as the dealer standing behind it. If he and his service manager will not take care of your motorcycle, and go to bat for you with the manufacturer when needed, then it's time to find a new dealer.

First off, there are always three sides to any story, your's, theirs, and what really happened
You should be able to contact a local American Suzuki rep. the Technical Service Manager for your area. He will know about your problems unless the dealer is deliberatly hiding stuff. If the dealer has too many complaints like yours Suzuki can and will allow someone else to take over the franchise and dealer will have to be either independant or find another manufacturers products to sell

had had nothing but good luck with suzuki, and the few times in 20 years i have been to the dealer they have always taken care of me. if you had a warranty it should have covered it, sounds like you gave in and didnt press the issue.
