Well whomever informed your girlfriend or you that the only way to get an EPT test is in the hospital, is misinformed. EPT tests, which is an early pregnancy test, can be bought in most drugstores. It can be something that is between you and her initially. It would be a good idea to first do this test, as it is highly effective, when done right. Well obviously common sense here about birth control and not having a baby, didn't come into play before you had sex so it is too late to talk about that. However, if it turns out, that she is not pregnant, but still isn't getting her period, then I would use PROTECTED SEX! Meaning, either she goes on the pill and you use a condom, or she uses some type of cream or jellies(also sold in drugstores)and you still use a condom. You honestly both don't know the truth when it comes down to, who has been with you or what disease they have had, sexually. However, first if she turns out negative on her EPT test, try it again, then if it is still negative, then have her be checked by a nurse practitioner, at a pay scale clinic through your county(where you can also get birth control too!)if you don't have the money or health insurance to go to an obstretician/gynecologist. She may have some sort of infection or problem that needs to be taken care of, whether she likes hospitals or not!!! Signs of pregnancy, are frequently going pee, nausea, vomiting, headache, increase in appetite, dizzy or feeling faint and sometimes difficulty sleeping, unusual dreams. The further along the pregnancy is, the higher the level of the human chorionic gonadtropin(HCG)level is and thus producing all of these wonderful symptoms. When the time is right, it is all a miracle, but to me, it sure doesn't sound like this is good timing for either of you. You are both still young, even though you may be mature. It is a major decision to bring a child into this world, a major lifetime responsibility!!!! Please bring her to get an EPT test first, and then to get to the doctor, for the proper prenatal care if she is pregnant or help for any problems she may be having. You both will need a good support system, and I will pray that you have family and friends that can help. I will keep you in my thoughts. Good luck! Pleeeeeeease if she turns out not to be pregnant, use PROTECTION!!! TAKE CARE OF YOU AND HER!!!!

I don't like hospitals either and I really don't like the idea of ever going to a gyno. I figure they're all either perverted men or lesbians. Anyway, all joking aside, if she does find out she's pregnant she'll have to go to the hospital anyway whether she likes hospitals or not. Else, she'll have to have a midwife, but they'll be doing the same thing as they would be in the hopital. Procedures are procedures even if the walls are painted differently. Personally, I understand being afraid of hospitals because it makes me think of death, but they are often times better able to handle complications that come up and most births are successful with very little complications. I think of life when I think of the maternity ward. I wasn't afraid when I saw my friend's baby there. The rest of the hospital still freaks me out though. Also, my friend didn't have morning sickness so "symptoms" aren't necessarily reliable.

First, I think it was very not responsible of you having sex when you are 16 years old. But since you already did, oh well. You can't do anything now. But if she really thinks so, get a pregnancy test from the store. It doesn't cost that much.
The symptoms are just obvious... She could feel cranky, not having period for more than a month, picky eating...ect...
Well, I hope you think twice next time about something like this.

She needs to get a home pregnancy test from the drug store/pharmacy. You can buy them over the counter. She should do this asap. Also, if you are having unprotected sex, then there is a huge possibilty that she is pregnant. Don't worry yourself too much. You're certainly not the first young (and I mean young) couple to get pregnant. If she is, talk about your options together. COMMUNICATE (and don't get upset with each other). This is very important. When you find out, and aren't sure what you want to do...contact your local planned parenthood facility and they can give you lots of info. Good luck.

When you had sex what did you think was going to happen? Get a home pregnancy test. She is really to early for any major signs or symptoms, other then missing her period. As far as her breast getting bigger geez, thats not going to happen till shes further along. First real major sign will be morning sickness. Take the HPTest or go to plan parenting. And by all means talk to your parents, you will be glad you did and so will your parents. Parents were kids once to they will understand, even if you think they wont.

Answer one question: Are you sure she isn't lying to you? Why else would an 18 yr old not want to do something as simple a peeing on a stick? Plus if she is 18 now and your just 16 there could be problems...your too young to have to work and support a baby....If she is and it is yours you will have to do just that! Good luck!

You are 16? Tell your parents. At least you are acting responsible by being concerned, which is more than I can say for little miss I'm afraid of hospitals. No one that immature should be having a baby. Tell your parents and face the music. Better honest now, than when they have their grandchild in their arms.

tell her to go to the store and buy the E.P.T. certainty test. I used it with both of my pregnancies. If it shows negative and you still think she is pregnant take another test two weeks after the first. And if she is pregnant then she better get used to the hospital and having blood drawn they do it a lot.

She better get used to hospitals if she's pregnant. She needs to take a test. It's the only way to know for sure. And talk to your parents.

She doesn't sound too concern about it. I say talk to your parents about it. Hopefully they can guide you in the right direction if she has no interest in finding out or not.

Symptoms include but are not limited to:
Breast are larger...don't feel like eating...food looks gross to her...and of course the obvious...she looks bigger in the stomach area.

One way or another she is going to have to come to grips with finding out...you can't be pregnant and not get medical attention. Tell her it's the best thing for both of you.

Good Luck.
