Roger Clemens, Astros: No, he hasn’t fired any bat shrapnel at anyone lately. Do you think 'The Rocket', made a fiscally lucrative deal with the ’Stros that will benefit or harm, the game of baseball.

Clemens skipped spring training and played soccer dad until June, then signed a contract that will pay him almost $4 million a month, more than Hank Aaron made in his entire career. Clemens could become the first person ever elected to the Hall of Fame as a player and as an agent.

Because a huge part of the contract settlements betweeen ballplayers and their respective franchises are so lucrative, can a man take his wife and kids to see a game without frist hitting the lotto !

Your thoughts.

Clemens, the drama king of MLB, is concerned only with Roger whom he admires, adores, and loves. Just ask him. You may not understand his response as he stumbles and bumbles his way through one contradiction after another. He is a colossal jerk as a person and is no model for young kids!!

Re: going to a game. 25 years ago, I used to take my son to Fenway Park regularly. We had pizza, went to the game, ate hot dogs and drank soda and still had money left over for the week. Today, 25 years later, I cannot afford to take myself to a ballgame, let alone my grandson. It's so sad!! Even bleacher seats are prohibitive!! So, I stay home and watch the games on television.

Chow!!

Baseball is still a bargain compared to football, basketball or hockey. In most cities, tickets are available from the team and the cheapest seats are under $15 a piece. Strange places like Fenway are not available from the team because they sell out before the season starts and the tickets in the after-market are prohibitive as a result some Bostonians even go to movie theaters to watch televised baseball games and get the stadium experience. But in most cities, including both New York teams, tickets are available, especially the cheaper seats.

there was no guarantee that clemens was going to resign with the astros. so the astros tickets prices did no go up or down.
there were many teams that wanted the rocket, and probably would have paid more, but he wanted to stay closer to home.
until a salary cap is brought into MLB there will be rediculous contracts...
