Feeling terrible that innocent simple people with their normal daily routines are targeted. It doesn't have to be my country but the sight of these people in pain can definitely upset any compassionate person.

Is there really no end to this?
Who is it going to be next?
:(

PLEASE READ -- I have nothing against any religion and I am just using this forum for a discussion. I agree to comments concerning issues in Africa and Asia as well. I'm not trying to make any country a saint. I am more concerned abt ordinary people than crappy politicians.

My dear girl, I find it very amusing of you to start with the US. Now I feel for the victims of the US, Spain, UK and India but honestly, do you really think this is where terrorism first began. far before anyone of us in the West were disturbed by the acts of terror thousands of lives were lost in south America, Ireland, eastern Europe, Africa(just think of Congo, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan etc.) the middle east in particular and Asia, as well. Why doesn't your heart cry out for the people of those continents and countries who have suffered and still suffer of more innocent lives being lost in the hands of terrorism than any country of the west has ever suffered? Grow up, and learn.

It is unfortunate that the extreme minority has the time, funding and inclination to wreak havoc on the peaceful and law-abiding majority. What does have to happen, as I've stated in other Answers, is the people have to be fed up, enough to empower their governments and enforcement authorities to truly rid their nations of those who are unwilling to live in society peacefully. And that goes for all societies. The grand majority is willing to obey the laws, do no harm, live in peace and pursue prosperity. It's a simple social contract (read Hobbes/Locke/Rousseau). If you can't buy into that, you need to leave, or shown the door with force and finality. But the people have to be sick of it and not tolerate it anymore. Often we try to understand the other side, to be empathetic, be compassionate, find common ground. Or, we're content with tit-for-tat retaliation that drags on for millenia.

That's insufficient. Peaceful people should demand the negative elements within their society that choose such destructive paths to be eliminated with certainty. This applies also to external elements that choose such destruction as a means of retaliation (asymmetric warfare). India deserves better, and its people should demand that such elements be rooted out at all costs. Precedent must be set, where terrorism is dealt with in a manner that deters violent exercise of dissent. There's no place for this in the 21st century and beyond, you'd think humanity would have progressed out of this ridiculously base behavior by now.

I can see that we are not getting any where
apart from blaming each other left right and
centre.
God has made us all humans,
if only we can act like it, behave like it,
and live like it, in peace and harmony and not
attack each others religion or colour or wealth
or oil and may be look out for each other
with kindness, friendliness and help one another
like when they do a peace concert for the poor nations,
that we can do a peace concert for the world
every now and then to remind ourself that we are
all humans and that we all die in the end and that we
will have to answer for our deeds.
May God bless you all.

Islam is not the cause of what is happening in the world. it is a religion of peace and submission to the Almighty. don't speak without knowledge. ignorance only hurts more. we need to wipe out hatred and ignorance.

Maybe if the U.S. and the U.K. took their troops out of Iraq etc. and let them get on with it maybe they could sort it out. Or fight it out between themselves at least it would be their choice and our children, who chose a career in the armed forces wouldn't be being killed.

The Musims and a Muslim city should be next. Hit them where it hurts. An eye for an eye.
