I'm going to ask a boy to a school dance and he's always around friends how do I ask him without sounding like an idiot?

Ask him if he has a minute to talk to you, alone.

Then just ask him.

The only thing that can go wrong is if your fear prevents you from taking the chance in the first place.

If he says, "Yes." Then exchange numbers to iron out the details later.

If he says, "No." Then it's still OK, because now you can ask another person and you don't have to wonder "If"

Don't be afraid. Most of us feel the same thing the first few times we talk to the opposite sex about a date, or more!
Good luck.

Can you possibly get him away from his friends? Maybe you could get some of your friends to run interference for you, distract them while you get him alone? If not, "Hey, do you want to go to the dance with me?" doesn't sound like an idiot at all. Good luck!

will when he is done talking to his friends or when his friends aren't around go up and say hi, and then get a little bit to know him, then maybe you could give him your number and asked if he would like to talk on the phone or asked him if he is going to the school dance with anyone. then maybe he would say no and maybe you could ask him out to the dance, there you go.

Simple. Go up and ask him if you can talk to him alone for just a second. When you get him aside tell him you've been waiting for the opportunity to ask him to the dance and that you really would like to go with him.

well first how is your relationship with him... do u guys ever talk? if u and him are cool, then u can just be like" are u taking anyone to the dance? if he says no, then u should say maybe we should go together... like its normal.. even though u might be nervous... it'd be okay, if he's never alone write him a note saying that or ask him in front of the group of friends.. like any of you have dates to the dance? then look at him, and then say maybe we should go together... and if ur rejected remember he's in front of his friends and they get embarrassed quickly. And don't show ur disappointment in front of them... good luck

One girl asked my son (16 years old) to a dance by text messaging him and saying, " If I asked you to the dance , would you say yes? Because I might"

Just knock all of his friends out then ask him to the dance. But after you ask him you should immediately leave the premises because his friends might be getting up soon.

tell him you need to speak with him in private, his friends will scoff, but thats ok. the question is......1) do you like to dance; 2) would you like to go dancing with me? guys are,nt as hard to figure out as women,if a girl has a pinch of good looks, guys are always a yes unless he,s already in a {serious relationship} .
