Once you get past the "pretending" state, you might find that things are not so bad. Stop pretending and start living.

You feel sad because we live in a society that has trained us to rely on things for comfort and happiness. When we don't have we want. When we have we want more. That's a cycle that will never bring you to terms with a true happiness and joy. It confuses us. You are seeing beyond a veil and you just don't realize it yet. You obviously know that the things that seem to make other people happy don't do anything for you. Let go of the material world. Search for your own truth and you will find what you are looking for. You shouldn't feel lonely when in truth you are just breaking away from a collective way of thinking. That is leadership. Happiness isn't just a smile. Tears can be of joy. You feel like no one cares but there are many that feel the same way including me. Your answers are the best to your ability and your insight. What matters is a different point of view not the best point of view.

Sounds like a totally negative view of what is going on around you. Yes, things aren't has great as you want them to be. Happiness is usually found in a moment, not in a lifetime. Things go up, things go down, just like our emotions. Maybe the Bud Dry can explain it better than me,

Why as why? hehe

I do this also sometimes and I believe it is because I honestly feel that by will alone I can force my mood. Also I hope that by reflecting that image to others I will somehow have it reciprocated and I will begin to honestly feel the way I want to. Then some days I feel fine.

The bible says you are who you say you are. That means that
if you say your happy even if your not, you are confessing something positive out of something negative and usually it will
help you to really be happy, and confident, and know that people
do care. Trust me your off to a great start.
