Although its easy enough to get rid of the history using ccleaner, it would be better if I did not have to do this so often.

first step is disabling hostory
go to internet options and change the days to keep pages in history to 0
the second step is going to content tab in internet options and select Auto complete
and unselect auto complete for forms and adress bar and clear them
remember to delete internet temporary files and cookies too

Open IE and click on the Tools menu. Choose Internet options. On the General tab, set Days to keep pages in History to 0.

The history set to 0 is a good answer. Don't forget to delete the .TMP files. You can also set so cookies expire really quick too. But that may prove inconvenient. If you REALLY want privacy, check out Knoppix. It's a Linux live system. Does not install to your hard drive. Leaves NO traces on the computer whatsoever.

I don't think there is apart from setting your delete history to a day. Even then you need ccleaner to erase your Index.dat file to completely erase everything.

yes go to tools internet options and change your history option to 1 day. you may also want to clear your history each time you log out

go to the tools pull down menu>internet opt.>clear history (and bring it down from 10 [or whatever you put] to 0

set the history to 0 days. on firefox, you go to tools-->clear privite data.
