I would personally liked to live during the middle ages back when honor and chivalry ruled and one was rewarded for faithful service to his country.

I would like to live in iron-age norway or denmark when u had to struggle and fight for survival. Wars were fought over things that mattered such as food or basic resources not over pointless things like religion. Or living before that in bronze-age norway when crafstmen ruled and nobody really fought each other since everyone had enough resources and they hadn't discovered u could have wars over religion. (By the way this is when Stonehenge and other like monuments were built.)

I would like to live in the Mycenaean age, mostly because of curiousity as to what really happened back then. So many questions could be answered. I used to think that I would like to live in the middle ages. My family does medieval re-enactment, ca 1475, Wars of the Roses. We've done a lot of research on the medieval era, and although there may have been chivalry among the upper classes (when they weren't trying to kill each other off), we have decided that most of the idealized chivalry seems to be a Victorian fantasy. Life was tough and brutal. I guess it makes me glad for the comparitively easy life we have now. JMHO

I would want to live in the 1700s or 1800s in Europe, either England or France. I love the lifestyles that people lived back then, both the wealthy and the poor (but especially the wealthy). The clothes were beautiful, the furniture was beautiful, and it seems like more people were interested in languages and education, well at least the wealthy people were.... I know that it's way less romantic than I think it is, but I'd definitely pick some time in the late 1700s if I had the option.

I think I would like to have lived in the Hawaiian islands before they became nothing but a tourist destination. When I was there a few years ago, the only real industries there were tourism and the Dole Pineapple plantation. You even have to import lettuce there because no one grows it. There used to be huge coffee plantations, but the only coffee grown there now is for the smaller boutique growers. "C & H Pure Cane Sugar" used to be grown in California and Hawaii - that's not either place any more. It's all just very sad. I think I would have liked to be there when Queen Kaahumanu ruled. She got rid of most of the misogynistic rules and was very popular.

I think I'd like to live in the '60's and be a stinky, stoned hippy, groovin' to some music and believing that there was hope for humanity! Seriously, I think that London, parts of New York, LA & San Fran must have been amazing in the mid to late - Sixties. It seems like one of those moments in history when you are aware that you're watching something really new take place, and you're in the right time & place to jump on & take a ride...I would have like to seen it.
Oh, well, I guess I'm stuck with Gangsta Rap, reality TV, and George Bush! Yeah!

I would live in the 20's when Jazz ruled and the gangsters still had honor and class. Or the 40's and 50's when burlesque was still going strong. They had adorable clothes and I could be a house wife!

I personally would have loved to live during the turn of the 20th century. It was a time of respect, progress, and lots of uneasy changes, the same things that make me want to have lived during the 1960's also. Those times weren't as open-minded towards diversity as it is today, but things were simpler, and that what our generation needs.

ill be honest with you. i would live in the times before christ. when i had the freedom to study magick, science, alchemy, oracles, and whatnot without fear of reprisal from christians. i would also like to see the alexandrian library that the christians who wrote the history books said accidentally burned down. which was a threat to christians because much of its most powerful works of knowledge showed how empty the monothiestic faiths were.

I would love to live in colonial America, when the country was still pristine and unspoiled by thousands upon thousands of miles of highways and cars.
