Oh please. This is nothing new for anyone who watches world soccer/football on a regular basis. This kind of crap happens all the time. It's nice that someone had the time to put a few minutes together of Materazzi. He's a good player, maybe a bit clumsy, but he's not much different than a whole s**tload of other players out there. Has anyone put one together of Zidane yet? I'm sure it's out there and I'm certain it will be better than Materazzi's. Come on, you can't even question whether Zidane deserved the red card or not. If it was anyone else they would have gotten one too. Would all this banter be going on if another player was kicked out? Uhhhh, I think not.

Since Zidane was the one who provoked Materazzi first, I'm with the latter's side all the way. However, no one compares to Zizou as a football player. I agree with you on one point; Materazzi was superb the night of the final and that could have annoyed him to a certain degree, especially after Buffon prevented Zidane's header and a sure goal.

Oh come on, Materazzi gained a reputation but he also collected cards and punishment for his past mistakes, and I'm sure he'll collect a few more in the years to come. That does not mean it should go without punishment to give him a dose of his own medicine. Zidane got what he deserved - lack of success at Real, lack of success for France for the past 8 years and a fitting end to his career. I nearly cried from laughing so much.

Can't agree. It was a terrible headbutt. Materazzi deserves better. Bridge of the nose, at least!

Thanks for the Video link!! I F***ing love it!! Always been saying that Matterazzi disgraced football on Sunday 9th July. Zidane was out of order for the headbutt but its like i've been saying it was pure emotion not logic. Matterazzi CHOSE his words and he should be the one accountable for them.

Materazzi at his best is a joke.
Zidane at his best is a legend.
Plus, you have to admit.. that headbutt was kind of excellent. :-)

I dont think so, it was not a good thing at all. Bcoz Zedan was just kidding him and they know they can't beat france if zedan is playing. So they did search on it and disturb zedan. No matter what ever result was but zedan win my heart....

many defenders are like him.. he is a bit aggressive, but a good player! Zizou's reaction was terrible and unjustifiable.
