This is most definitely unhealthy.
Your metabolism shuts down when you do not eat. Then, because of hunger, you eat one larger meal, and your metabolism is shocked into action...
The result is opposite of the desired result - you end up storing excess. Your body does not metabolize everything you eat.
You are better off having more, smaller, meals. Eat 5-6 times a day, including right as you wake up, but in small portions each time. You will use the food and your body will respond better.
You will also end up stronger, more vital, and more able to do activities.

Some times i get in a grind where ill only eat one big meal a day. Its not really healthy. in fact 4 small meals a day is better for the metabolism. and if you eat right you will actually lose more weight eating more offen, because you body goes into conservation mode, and you can get sluggish, sleep too much and be irritable. I suggest just start eating something small like a granola bar or something, a cup of yogurt during 4 times of the day. then advancing it to maybe a granola bar and a cup of yogurt . then add a small salad etc. just make sure you get 4 meals like that a day. and dont forget about protein and vitamins

It is unhealthy.
Eating once a day doesn't burn fat, it eats muscle tissue. Muscle tissue will deteriorate ate a quicker pace than fat will burn and eating one meal a day doesn't give your muscles and body the proper nutrients. Iron, protein, and the recommended vitamins are all needed to help ensure a strong healthy living style. It is recommended now that you have 5 partial meals in a day. Breakfast: Grains, juices, fruits. Then a snack: A yogurt, fruit or mixed vegetables. Lunch: This is the heartiest meal, eat what you'd like. Snack: A yogurt, fruit or mixed vegetables. Super: One of the lightest meals for calories because you gain most weight in the evening and during sleep due to body inactivity.

I would get myself checked out by a GP if your loosing your appetite. How was it before, did you eat a normal 3 meals a day, if you notice changes in your appetite without being unwell you should get medical attention. Only eating one meal a day is not that good for you, it wont kill you but you should be eating more often that once a day. You probably already know this and are just looking for reassurance, but if your only a young girl this could have an affect on you in later life if you continue to eat this way. Good luck

Eating Only 1 meal a day is Very Unhealthy. Your stomach acts as a storage area and if your body isn't getting enough food it will automatically store the food that is in your stomach. And other than that being unhealthy it wont help you lose weight for the reason I just explained of your stomach storing the food that it is rarely getting.

Don't drop a few pounds by starving yourself. What you are doing is something that will hurt you. To drop a few pounds stay away from breads. I have been eating Weight Watchers dinners. You can get them from the store you grocery shop at. I assure you, you will get all the nutrition you need by just eating those. You can catch them on sale etc plus they are quite reasonable. This way you are loosing weight and eating well.

breakfast is the very important meal for the day, and you should not scape no matter how busy you are or even if you want to lost some pounds. we should at least take proper diet,take three meals a day,breakfast,lunch and dinner. as we use most of our energy at day time you should eat more for breakfast instead of dinner. because we dont use to much energy at night, think, you eat and after a while you go to bed, will you not get more pounds? if you really want to lost some pounds, choose what you are eating, and what you do, every meal,take one serving each, sit, enjoy and taste what you are eating,take your time,digest in your mouth before swallowing, do not stand while eating,always leave some food on your plate. as for snacks,take fruit or water instead.

you are probably a skinny girl already don't hurt your body and only eat once a day you need more strength than you are getting 1 meal a day yes it is unhealthy because what if pass out from not eating you can eat three meals just eat small portions don't starve yourself workout to drop a few pounds go on a diet please don't starve yourself for your own health

You need to eat a well balanced diet every day , if you miss 2 of them your body will suffer eventually from the lack of fuel , really you should eat small meals , but 5 times a day

No, eating one meal a day is not healthy, there was a girl on the internet that actually died because she was'nt actually even eating and it's not a healthy habit and if you keep it up, well, food gives you energy, and if you don't eat, after some time, you'll lose your energy, so it'd be better if you'd eat three square meals a day, and exercise often.
