Talk it over with them. They are probably just as or more sorry than you to see you unhappy. They probably love you and want to make up as much as you do. Don't give up, love can find a way, even though the path isn't always smooth or pain free.......

If it's a woman, nothing says "I'm sorry" better than copious amounts of chocolate...
But seriously. My advice is to first give the person a little bit of time to cool down and back off for a couple of days. Then there's really no substitute to just sitting down with them and honestly explaining the situation, offering a sincere apology, not making excuses for yourself, but just being truthful, then give them some time to digest your apology and let it go from there on their terms (ie. don't force it). Good luck--I hope things get resolved.

Make it right. Like it never happened. As if it will never happen again. That's the best way. Talk is usually the last thing people want to hear when they've been disappointed. Words are nothing- actions are everything.

You let them know we are each unique in our own ways,
that the disappointment they feel is actually their expectations
of how you are suppose to be in their eyes when you have to be who you are.
Someone being disappointed maybe their way of
saying they did not get their way, or how you should conform to their needs or wants ... So is it necessary to say you
are sorry ?? It depends on what the disappointment on their
side means ... One can say they are sorry, but its more
important to have clarity in what one is trying to convey in reference to being sorry ... Ask them why they are disappointed
so you can measure the differences in both your ways of what
it is which constitutes conformation of friendships or lovers.
gOOd luck !!!

By not doing whatever it was again that disappointed them in the first place. There are times when actions really do speak louder, and mean more, than mere words.
