there is a caste system because they like it, they dont choose to have it gone. India is their home, we dont own India; Indians' own their own home land, it is not ours, billy doesnt own it and never will; the Untouchables are higher leveled evolved spirits that have gone to the levels we cant, they have earned it by the many lives they have lived- cleaner lives, purity is their blessing. bill cant buy it. no one can take it form them; no one will let them; one can not buy or sell it. its a beautiful system.

As said already religion is a huge reason why. With any society, religion is intertwined into the culture. Just like in the U.S. on the one dollar bill there is the line "In God We Trust." In India they believe that the reason they are in the position that they are is because of a past life. With every new life it is another chance for each class to reach Nirvana.

As for Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, little can be done since its part of their religion. They should let them live the life that their religion directs them to. If Bill Gates still feels compelled to help, he should let up some help to the lower classes so their lives can be easier.
