The game loads fine in the beginning, but during gameplay it always takes forever between screens (for example, if I leave a house to go somewhere else). I always stop the background activities on my computer like the game recommends...Can anyone help me out?

Also, I just got the Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff. The instructions say to install it in a separate file, so I did. But then when I go to play the game, everything (like the wallpaper) is red...Please help!

Thanks, MJ

Sounds like your graphics card is having a hard time keeping up with the game. That might explain the long load times and I know it definately explains the red wallpaper.

Try turning down the graphics quality in your settings and see if that runs any smoother.

Have you downloaded any extra's for the game from any Sims2 sites? If you have, then maybe you have some empty files or duplicate files in your sims2 download folder. I use Sims2 Pack Clean Installer to find the empty files/duplicate files and delete them. Check out http://www.modthesims2.com, they have an extensive help area. Need to be a member to ask a question, but joining is free and they have the best downloads anywhere on the web. I believe you can download the sims2pack clean installer from that site also.
