Have you checked your security settings on IE? (I'm assuming you use IE). You can set all your activeX settings there. Goto TOOLS->Internet Options and click on security tab, then Custom Level
The one labelled 'Run activex controls and plugins should be marked 'enabled' in order to get the Flash plugin

go to windows update in optional updates go for direct x 9 or 10 install it . flash player will install after that. by the way on the web site for flash player if you see the big square rotating it is installed also go to control panel Internet options advanced -hit restore default. that may help also.

It is probably a security glitch. Go to a website you trust for the download. Disable your pop-up blocker and firewall. Try again.

do you have norton or some type of firewall that will cause that to happen
