When I get my nails done or my hair cut/colored, I never know how much to tip. I usually give like $10 for hair and $5 for nails, is that too much or not enough? (if I liked the service)

I usually tip 10-20% of the total cost of the service. So if it was $50 for my haircut and manicure, then I'll tip $5 to each, but if it's a major service and the person spends like a couple of hours on just me, then i'll usually tip more.

Well, it all depends on where you live and how much it costs for the cut and color and so forth. When I get my hair just cut I will usually tip about $5. I would say that you are tipping pretty well. This is just my opinion though. Maybe there is a beautician on here that can answer your question with some expertice. Good luck!

Even if I really like the hair or nails 5 bucks is the most they get paid too, tips aren't the only income, but If you have the money to tip that good, can I be your stylist?

I usually leave a $5 for hair and I never get my nails done. I also think, that it depends on where you live. I live in the Midwest.

I do believe in tipping very well but why do we pay someone that we already paid for their services. My employer doesn't pay me and then I get tips for the services I render to other people that my job has already paid me for.

I agree it depends on how long or difficult it was to do. I never go buy how much it costs even though your suppose to. I go by how good they did, and how much work they had to put into it.
But sounds like you're doing fine with how much your giving now.
