In my opinion, the best kindergarten classroom has as many interactive centers as possible. Children at this age need things that are hands-on. The classroom should be colorful and vibrant with written words everywhere possible. For example, tables, chairs, etc should all be labeled.
There should definitely be an art center, where children are free to draw, paint, etc on their own. There should be real-life play centers (doctor, post office, etc).
Even at such a young grade-level, computers are great assets to the classroom. There is huge variety of software and programs that could help kindergarten students learn.
And probably most importantly, there should be lots and lots of books, both for children to read on their own and to read to the children.

A Kindergarten classroom should have a lot of colors, tables instead of desks and areas for the students to investigate; due to the fact that children at this age are very curious.

At this age children are learning in a combination of two ways. One way is learning through play and the other is the more traditional method of what most of think of as school. I would be vary wary of a kindergarten who insists children must stay seated for most of the day and already have large amounts of work. I know some schools are insisting letter recognition, writing their name and other tasks that used to take place in first grade so it can be stressful but a great kinder teacher utilizes both learning through play and traditional methods. Kinder kids need to get the wiggles out and play and not just at recess. Plus learning needs to be fun and not work at this age, the challenge lies with the teacher to ease them in to the structure of school and make it enjoyable as possible. Kindergarten teachers are unsung heroes.

The kindergarten class room should both have fun and knowledge because the students learn easily in interesting way.
The more fun they have the faster they learn.
