At my school, some of the guys talk about how they masturbate and stuff. But some girls say it is gross for either a guy or a girl to masturbate. So, I am only 14, but, what am I to think?

Its is jsut fine to masterbate, and girls say its grose but they do it also!! so don't worry about it. Sex can wait... Masterbate!

as long as it's not an obsession and it's done in private it's fine.
Everyone does it at some point and does everyone out there have hairy palms, gone blind, gone sex-crazy, etc...?
and masturbating being liked to mental disorders is the same as the link between drinking water and being a murder.
Did the murderer drink water?

oh wait every person in the WORLD drinks water and most of us don't murder another human.

It is something that everybody will do. It might become a vice if abused. When you get to marry the right person you will need to be sharp at sex and team up with your partner. If one of them is masturbating without the other knowledge, the sexual relation will be unbalanced.
Conclusion: It is not bad for you now but you should aspire to eliminate it if you want to be a real man in the future and be able to please a woman 100%.

Kid, Masturbation is a normal and HEALTHY thing. Medical facts have actually proven that Masturbation in men can reduce the risk of prostate cancer.
Ur at an age where its a curiosity, dont be affraid to try it and dont feel disgusted in urself if u do or if u find urself liking it. Its normal and its healthy.
