I don't know, everyone I know has had at least one, "oh, gross!" accident in their lifetime. I'm getting of scared of having mine-- seeing that it hasn't happened yet.
I know several people who have been run over by cars, fallen off stuff, gotten in car accidents, got severely burned, gotten limbs almost cut off... some are carelessness, but most of them are innocent freak accidents.
I've kind of accepted that something like that will eventually happen to me, and it's kind of a scary thought.
So, what I'm asking is-- does everyone eventually have one experience in their life that results in a bloody massacre of their body?
I'm the adventurous type, so I think I'm a prime candidate.
Does anyone else find the thought of being the target of a crazy freak accidents just a little frightening?

I've had several minor ones. I stepped on a rusty nail when I was like 9. I have had a few kitchen accidents: One that should've gotten stiches (I didn't let anyone see it until it was healed. I changed the wrap in the bathroom) and one that got four stiches in it. A couple others, too. I got my share of cuts and dings when I was a kid. I managed to break my leg because I thought I could fly like a bird when I was 7. Knocked my front teeth out when I was 12 watching tennis balls in the spokes shadows on the pavement. (bike ran into a truck because I wasn't watching where I was going) but nothing extreemly gory.

Never thought about it from that perspective, but I think you're right. I had my leg ripped open, not cut, ripped, and it took 39 stiches inside and 40 outside to close the wound.

my god what a question! i certainly hope not, that would mean i'm due. i suppose you're not talking about accidentally cutting yourself with an exacto knife, huh? I've done that a few times. needed stitches once. no, you want big, ugly bloody. gagghh.
