They've been brainwashed by the media into thinking that this is the only legitimate kind of beauty.

B/c people look up to celebrities. People also think that celebrities are sooo good looking, so if doctors and infomercials say, if people get plastic surgery then they can look like celebrities then thats what the people are going to do!

No, I would not do it b/c you could get addicted and sometimes it makes your face look really bad. Besides, if you think that you need plastic surgery so you can look like a celebrity then you need to see a doctor.

Personally I want plastic surgery but not to look like a celebrity.

The people that do it to look like a celevrity do it for the attention. The fact that they might look like a celebrity and have people walk up to them and talk to them as if they were famous.

Other than that.. plastic surgery is fine, if you don't want to look like a celebrity.

Such procedures as rhinoplasty can help people in everyday activities. A tummy tuck can help a person's self confidence since they have lost so much weight and have excess skin.

Most of the time this is the weak people who society affects the most. The beauty industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and they spend countless billions on advertising. This advertisements often feature beautiful people and even celebrities this commercials almost always subtly and not so subtly insinuate that in order to have a great life you must look the part. It's all psychological really and celebrities represent this perfect lifestyle from money to looks ideally. Thus people want to look like them.

To me, it seems that their own lives are so pathetic and meaningless that they think having surgery will make them "become" the celebrity, which is not the case. If someone is truly unhappy with themselves, and they would really like their nose to look better and want to use someone as a model, then I suppose that is their choice. I think, though, they need to looker deeper to see what the problem truly is.

cuz they have no respect for their parents, having plastic surgery when you don't have skin problem or something is a way of denying and refusing the face or features that was gifted to you by your parents' genes. im totally against plastic surgery. they'll make the parents feel horrible that their son or daughter is miserable about the face they gave him/her. don't you think so?
