Do I think we are safer? No. I think that because of the way terrorists operate and the fact that they will kill themselves too doesn't make me feel safe.We need to cut off the money that supports them Osama is a multi millionaire who supports all terrorists. I have no idea how we could stop his money as it comes through Saudi Arabia.I'm not sure if anyone in any country feels safe anymore

Haven't seen any attack on American soil take place. Something is working.

And no the answer to not simply to confront violence with violence. It is to confront violence with overwhelming force.

One day you will grow up, and you will remember this time. You will think much differently then you think today. Its not your fault really the schools are awful nowadays, there was just a question I read asking who the 16th President was. You poor ignorant children, I hope you can figure a way out of the disaster your generation is headed for.

'93 trade center bombing, 98 US embasy bombings in Africa, the USS cole, 9/11.... Since the war on terror there haven't been any attacks on US soil. While I can see how it could be argued that the world as a whole might not be safer, the US certainly is, and that of course has been Bush's mission, to keep the US and US interests protected.

Um have you heard of Spain, England, Russia, or perhaps India today. Has anything like that happened since we went on the offensive? Yes, we are safer.

To Baron - The US Armed forces has killed or captured 95% of the Al Queda leadership. The US Armed forces has crushed the Taliban and created a free and stable Afghanistan. The US Armed forces has killed terrorist #1 (Al Zarqari) in Iraq. What you don't know is that hundreds of wanna be terrorist have been taken off the streets in Iraq since Al Zarqari's demise. Saddam has been removed form power and now we know there will be no more terrorist camps in Iraq. Uday & Qsay have been killed by our US Armed forces. Libya has opened their borders and welcomed international weapons inspectors because of our policy with Iraq. Syria was removed from Lebanon because of Iraq policies. Al Queda is losing high ranking members in the Philippines becasue of our active search (financially & military) because of our offensive actions. Planned terrorist activities in America has been thwarted because of the finacial tracking of terrorist and friends of terrorist. Is that enough hard factual evidence for you?

It has made the U.S. and the world more aware of terrorism. That will take hold and make people more safer; eventually. It will take time. But the terrorist only strengthen their enemies (The world) further through senseless acts of violence.

No, and again, I invite our pro-Bush administration friends to provide concrete examples of how the "war on terrorism" has made the US any safer than it was in 2001.

EDIT: There were no foreign terrorist attacks on US soil during the Carter administration as well. Where's your praise for him?

Of course we are. But that answer doesn't fit your agenda driven question does it? More democracy in the Middle East will lead to a safer world. If it were left to your kind, Hitler would have controlled Europe and the USSR would still exist.

I just love all the stupid ignorant people who say "NOPE" - count on your hand how many new attacks homeland USA has had. Has any one else died from terrorist attacks in the U.S. since 9/11? The answer is simply NO. So I guess your opinion is - more US citizens should have died before we did anything about it, because that is what you are saying.

I personally don't think that we are any safer. The terrorists just want to get a hold of us more than ever now.
