The only reason I can surmise is that for these unlucky individuals stepping outside causes their nails to grow at an alarming rate,the energy for this growth depleting their knowledge of manners and etiquette.Perhaps we should feel pity for them. Hrmm, no we shouldn't.

I asked this question a few weeks ago.
Most people felt that such people are:
1) slobs,
2) blissfully ignorant to how much they are disgusting others, or
3) just inconsiderate.
Others said "get over it," but I agree it's really rude and slovenly.

Because they have no manners. I hate that. I even hear people doing it in church. I always want to tell them to stop.
