When ever i hear my BF talking to another girl, he will always call her '"babe", in a way i feel kind of hurt, but he calls me babe too... is that normal, or am i over reacting?
GUYS- do you have a girlfriend and you call other girls babe, and if so why??
GIRLS- do you have a bf that does the same thing??, how do you feel about it??

My bf call women sweetheart and babe. It does not bother me. For one is that I am secure in what we have together. And I know that he loves me. But if you do not like it you should talk with him about it and ask how would he feel if you where calling every guy you see big daddy or a special name that he likes when you say it to him.

My boyfriend calls me Babe all the time ... it's the sweetest thing when it comes out of his mouth ... !
Now if I heard him calling every girl Babe I wouldn't feel the same way when he says it to me ... !
I wouldn't get mad or jealous over it either ... it might just be his way of communicating with other women ... or he's just use to it and he probably doesn't even know he's doing it ... !
I call my daughter baby ( she's 4 ) and she says don't call me that .. most of the time I don't even know I say it .. he can be doing the same. I wouldn't worry or think twice about it ... !

Calling everyone babe is ridiculous. It's the sign of an immature person. Tell him people have a name, use it.

Don't like the way he talks? Wait until your married you'll hate the way he eats, walks, drives, breathes, clears his throat, answers your questions, does not answer your questions, etc.......

NO WAY! If my boyfriend called another girl "babe" we'd be done with. I would not tolerate that in ANY WAY. AND if it is a habit for him, tell him that he needs to break the habit, or you'll break up with him. Tell him you DON'T like it and that's that. If he doesn't stop, he doesn't deserve you.
By the Way,
My boyfriend and I only call EACHOTHER pet names and no one else....it goes both ways.

I would talk to him. It sounds to me like he doesn't care much for women. Pet names are supposed to be used on the girlfriend, not EVERY girl. He knows he is doing it and probably doesn't care. How long have you been dating? He sounds very immature. Is he in high school?

Being a female, I would be insulted. For starters, I dont like when males refer to females with such names like babe, or chick. I find them disrespectful. In addition, when one uses such terms, it seems insincere in that one cant remember one's name.

i hate it but sometimes it just the way he talk like the word honey lots of ppl use it when talkin to others it just natural to lots of ppl
