in the yellow family, you could go for gold but if you take the suggestion above and go with the sea-foam green, you can use lots of silver and black as accessory colors all around
like a piece of really fine jewelry
also turquoise is any color from sea foam to robins egg blue so be flexible with the names paint companies use to describe the color. Once you see what you want, then look to see what they call it.

I just did this in my family room and the effect is great. I have one major wall a gorgeous teal/turquoise blue, the color changes with how much light is in the room. The other 3 walls are a dark sand color with an undertone of gold, not anywhere near brown but not as light as tan or beige. Our fireplace is a complete wall of river rock and I am using a lot of water lily baskets on the shelves on either side of it to tie in all the neutral colors of the wood floor, the beige bucket chairs and our chocolate brown sofa. The sofa is along the teal wall.
All the colors tie together really well. This room opens up into our kitchen which I did in a soft but not dull yellow, again, it has a slight gold undertone. It flows well but I wouldn't want the yellow and turquoise next to each other. Just not my taste.
Good luck with your room!

It depends on the effect you want to create. If you want a monochrome affect, then go with a teal. If you want it to be a very bold statement you can go with a rojo or rose. If you decide on the yellow I would make it a chamois rather than a true yellow which is a much milder soft feel..

i'd propose mild eco-friendly, mild orange (a touch brighter than peach), or the lavender. word of caution, lavender has a tendency to darken by the years giving it a dingy seem. Or reckoning on what number wall decals you get carry of, paint the walls white and canopy the walls throughout with the decals. I did that in my daughter's room on one wall and it quite makes an effect.
