yes, but I would go for two cages. The hamsters may start to fight over territory and food (even if they have their own). yeah, it takes a little longer to change the cage but...

Yes but make sure there is enough room for both and make sure they are about the same size. I had two gerbils in the same cage and one was a bit bigger and it killed the other one. They were sisters.

Absolutely not. Hamsters will fight violently if housed together as adults. Rarely will they get along.
