How do you, personally, feel about the growing "emo" or "scene" trend? Guys wearing eye liner, girl pants, using straightening irons, etc.?

Do you have a moral opposition to this? Christian responses are being sought.

I personaly feel theres a difference between using a guy using make-up and taking an intrest in their looks and a guy actively trying to look like or come across as a girl

So I don't think theres anything wrong with a guy wearing a bit of make-up if he wants to, ancient egyptians used eye liner (khol) and men through history have often worn make-up, obviously these kids can't be the only one who think it looks good or it wouldn't have been so popular through the centuries

I think the main reason people have a problem with this is that they've been told all through their life that men shouldn't look good, they "should" look rugged and natural (and unkempt), where as women are expected to be the only ones concerned about their looks

O.K. I have no idea what morality or religion has to do with this question...but personally I prefer a man to dress, look, and act like a man. Also, to weigh more than I do by at least 50lbs.

But then again I have dated metro-sexual men and they really do seem to be able to relate better to me.....maybe 'cause they like shopping as much as I do :)

I don't care what he wears as long as there's a man inside, with all the strength, independence and sexy vibe that implies. That said, I'm not friends with too many women who constantly use straightening irons, so that probably wouldn't do it for me.
Are you suggesting that makeup is immoral in women? Because if it isn't in women, it shouldn't be in men.

Well, my personally opinion is that it is pretty gay (on offense to anyone), I men are susposed to be the more rugged of the two, and I personally don't think that women would want their boyfriend shopping in the same department of clothing as them, or wearing their make up, or using the same hair products. As far as relating to religion, I don't really think it would be a problem as long as you're not homosexual.

As an LDS christian, i know that my church leaders are a little unhappy with it for modesty reasons.

however, as a liberal and as a normal conscious human being, i think whatever works for ya works for ya.

i'm not morally opposed to it; i'm in a band and i wear pants (size 7) and dark eyeliner to shows. :)

I kind of like it. Only w/out makeup, that's crossing the line. But I like it when a man takes time and tries to look nice. And I also like the bootcut jean look. It's so hot

properly, plant life and hearts may be going too a methods. yet yeah, we are nonetheless in a metrosexual form. i do no longer concepts adult adult males finding slightly female, as a results of fact that i come across MTF transsexuals appealing in specific situations yet for a usual guy you do no longer desire to placed on too plenty purple, or salmon. and you do no longer desire to apply too many lady form motifs or a manbag that seems too very reminiscent of a handbag, lol.

I LOVE JAMAICA.
