I need to vaccuum out my couch. There's no other way to do it without setting my vaccuum on the floor while I do. Please list your source

Assuming you have Pergo floors (the leading manufacturer of fake hardwood floors) then yes, it is OK to vacuum them.

It if has one of those spinning hard-bristle things, though, I would suggest avoiding leaving the bottom down on the floor, you can turn it up so the brushes don't make contact with the floor.

Make sure the wheels on the canister aren't full of grit. Don't use a power head...but rather just suction and brush head.
Most hardwood floors have a titanium oxide finish that is very durable and even it isn't TiOx ...the finishes are very durable.
