You need to ask her why will she not hang out with you. Your friend is always giving you excuse after excuse. Friends want to spend time together and enjoy each other's company. Your main goal is to find out why is she not hanging out with you. Hear what she has to say and go from there. If it is a good reason, suggest making arrangements ahead of time so you guys can hang out. If it is not a good reason, drop her and move on with your life. Hear her out and I wish you the best of luck.

You said it started 7-8 months ago - did something happen in her life then? Ask her. Maybe she is clinging to you for emotional security especially if she doesn't have any other friends. Otherwise, if you are doing something with someone else tell her you are busy (truth), if you don't want to do anything that day say you don't want feel like doing anything (truth), if she is constantly contacting you, don't answer call or text, she will soon get message. when she asks why you didn't answer her many calls or texts tell her that you had other things going on and can't be with her or talking to her all the time (truth). Learn to say no - it is a life saver (difficult at first but easier as time goes by).

mmmmmmmm interesting. Did this friend use to hang out with you all of the time? Or has she stopped hanging out with you just recently? The way your question is presented it makes it seem like you do not know your "best friedn" very well. it sounds very much like your friend does not want to hang out with you for whatever reason. You can take these steps to see if you get some answers from her. 1) you can ask her why she isnt hanging out with you anymore. and/or 2) you could go to one of her other friends or family members (if you know them very well) and ask if there is something that you need to know about or 3) just stop being worried about it. either she will come around (if she is your true friend) or she will just go away and you will know that you never really had a "true friendship" with her in the first place.

Seems like she's not a true friend. She's avoiding hanging out with you. It like she'll only talk to you when she bored and has nothing to do. I think she's using you as backup friend. so maybe yo should find better friends

Give it to her straight.
Say, "I feel like the low man on your totem pole lately. So, listen, next time, YOU can call ME, O.K.?"
If she is a friend she will apologize and call you.

Just tell her how you feel. If she gets mad at you then she isn't really your best friend.
