The hopeless Romantic but is it a bad thing to love so much???

A promise to God
The day we wed
Forsaking all others
are the vows we said.

I gave you my love
my heart my soul
I gave them to you
In your heart to hold.

The day of our Wedding
Now it's just a dream
Tears fell when I saw you
In that dress of cream

I wish I'd have known
When we promised that day
It would be you
who would choose to stray.

When we were together
You gave me life.
Without you by me
Living every day with strife

We were a family
you took it away
I gave you a daughter
yet you refused to stay

I know in my life
Many women will go
But none will touch
so deep in my soul

My sprit cries out
But you refuse to hear
With the beat of my heart
It holds you dear.

You don't have a clue
Of the man you lost
I will love you forever
I don't care the cost.

A hopless romantic
A life of Shame
My prayer forever
For us to share my name

Of so many things
What do you want me to say?
What would you react
If you felt this way?

WOW! Beautiful poem. I'm sorry this happened to you. I know how cheating hurts. Been there. All the feelings you experience, guilt, shame, betrayal, but mostly hurt and anger. Prayer and forgiveness, got me through those feelings. Love yourself and be kind. Maybe somewhere out there someone will love you the way you described in your poem. Hope this helps in some small way.

You can't ever love too much, with all of the hate out there in the world today, we need as much love as people are willing to give. And dont' ever let anyone tell you different, any woman will be really lucky to have you as a husband and the woman that left you, that is her loss and she will notice what a great guy she has lost.
