Why do some people on here feel the need to preach their versions of their gods word in topics other than the one designed / assigned to them ?.
Why can they not keep their evangelist messages and oft misquoted and misinterpreted 'truths' to the religeon thread instead of 'preaching' to me and others in other threads ?

I know exactly what you mean.
They pop up way to often. It pisses me off, because people with real problems get a religous tickin off. When they aren't asking about God.
Wish they'd be more respectful of our individuality.

I don't like that people do that. Sure we have free speech and people are allowed to say those kinds of things but it's not like I often hear people preaching about their religious views in public. It seems to be an internet thing....especially since yahoo answers makes it so easy to do so- with such a large audience reading and the fact that the internet gives a sort of anonymity. In real life, if a person were to act like this he/she would have no friends except people that believed in the exact same thing.
I am Catholic and I really don't appreciate the bad imagine that these weirdos give my religion. I also don't appreciate people that don't believe in God calling Christians ignorant/idiots. I am not disrespectful of what other people believe in and I don't try to shove my beliefs in other peoples faces.....and neither do other people I know. Seriously, I think it's an online thing. Some people need to get a life.

If you want people to say what you want then you are in the wrong place. It takes all sorts of people to make a world and each of them is an individual who answers from their own experience, regardless if you agree with them or not.
That is what a public board is all about.

Because even Christians have a right to voice their opinions & beliefs on 'Any' subject or issue: not just those raised in Religion & Philosophy!!
After all... it is a free world still.. is it not?

I guess because you ask the question they feel invited to answer-and we do ask other's opinions on here...oops-but you mean in other topics. Well, I guess if they have a religious opinion on the World Soccer Tournament, they will voice it...

Well, if you are Christian, then it is likely that you want to show other people the truth and save them. Christians want others to believe so they can better their lives and be able to go to heaven. because thats what god fearing wimps do. They dont enjoy crap because they are afraid god will deal his wrath if they enjoy themselves so they feel they have to make others suffer too
